    How the math works
    • Taxes use 2026 federal brackets and standard deduction for your filing status, self-employment tax (15.3 percent on 92.35 percent of profit, Social Security capped at the 2026 wage base), half of SE tax deducted, plus your state rate. The QBI deduction is left out, so your real tax bill likely lands a little lower.
    • Partner income lowers what your business needs to cover. Joint-filing tax stacking is simplified.
    • Revenue starts after a three-month build, opens at 10 percent of your Freedom Number and grows in a straight line to it over your chosen ramp. Thrive follows at the same pace.
    • While employed, 60 percent of business profit and your monthly savings go to the cushion. After you leave, business take-home covers your need first and savings cover the gap.
    • Your OOO date is the earliest month where your savings cover every shortfall until you hit your Freedom Number, with three months of need still in the bank.
    • Hours: delivery hours per client plus 8 hours a week of selling and admin, over 4.33 weeks a month. Real hourly rate uses 48 working weeks.
